Management Training Program for
IMRC Staff and
Volunteers
At
IMRC’s request, Dr. Rafik Beekun has consented
to conduct a two day training session
on Islamic Management at IMRC office in Palo Alto,
CA on Feb. 13-14, 2010.
Dr.
Beekun is a renowned professor and consultant in
strategic management, international management and
organizational theory. He is a prolific writer and
has authored several books including one on
Islamic Business Ethics. He has published in many
journals including the Journal of Applied
Psychology, Decision Sciences, Human Relations,
Journal of Management, Journal of Management
Studies, Journal of Applied Behavioral Sciences,
International Journal of Organizational Analysis,
International Journal of Human Resources
Management and Journal of Business
Ethics.
Dr.
Beekun is currently a Professor of Management and
Strategy and former chair of the Managerial
Sciences Department at the University of Nevada.
He received his MBA and Ph. D from the University
of Texas, and his BA and MA from Columbia
University in New York. He is also a Fulbright
Scholar at the University of Mauritius in
1999-2000. In addition, Dr. Beekun consults
globally.
