Kurnool Floods

India’s Krishna River experienced its worst flood of the century. Death, disease, destruction of life, crops, and property was engulfed by the flood. Over two million people were made homeless and had lost everything. More than 271 died and the damage has been estimated in millions. IMRC’s relief efforts were on site within 24 hours supplying food & drinking water. Medical supplies, grocery packages, kitchen and home kits were distributed to approximately 2,000 families. The next phase is to provide rehabilitation to flood victims by rebuilding their damaged homes.
Thousands of homes are already in the process of being built. There are 100,000 flood victims who need a home, of them 20,000 are Muslim. Out of all the NGOs involved in this project, IMRC is the only Muslim one. It is imperative that we support this project through IMRC, so our fellow brothers and sisters aren’t left behind without a proper place to live.
